Returns & Refunds Policy
Golden Leaf Books sells used and pre-owned books. All sales are final, except where an item is materially not as described.
Materially not as described means a significant discrepancy between the item received and the description, edition, or title provided in the listing, as evidenced by listing photos and condition notes. Minor wear consistent with the item’s described condition is not eligible for a return.
Determinations of whether an item is materially not as described are made at the sole discretion of Golden Leaf Books.
Golden Leaf Books photographs each copy individually and notes visible writing, highlighting, wear, or flaws where needed. Because these photographs and notes form part of the item description, a difference of opinion about whether a book should have been graded differently does not, on its own, qualify as materially not as described.
Listing photos are considered the primary and most accurate representation of the item’s condition. Customers acknowledge that variations in lighting, screen display, and photography may affect how colors and minor details appear.
By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the condition of the item as shown in the listing photos and description.
Return Eligibility
- Return requests must be submitted within three (3) calendar days of the delivery date confirmed by USPS tracking. Requests submitted after this period will not be accepted.
- The return window is based on confirmed delivery date and reflects the nature of individually listed, one-of-a-kind items.
- The item must be returned in the same condition and packaging as received. Condition will be verified against original listing photos and records. Damage or alteration during return shipping may void the refund.
- Proof of purchase in the form of the order confirmation is required.
- Returned items must be shipped using a trackable shipping method. Golden Leaf Books is not responsible for returns lost in transit.
Refund Terms
- Only the purchase price of the item will be refunded.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are non-refundable and are the responsibility of the buyer.
- Partial refunds are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the discretion of Golden Leaf Books.
Shipping Responsibility
Once an order has been handed off to the shipping carrier, Golden Leaf Books is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the carrier. However, we will assist customers in filing claims when applicable.
Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon confirmed delivery by the carrier.
Order Cancellations
Orders may not be canceled once they have been shipped. If a cancellation request is made prior to shipment, Golden Leaf Books reserves the right to approve or deny the request at its discretion.
Inspection & Approval
All returned items are inspected upon arrival. Golden Leaf Books reserves the right to deny any return that does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy, as reasonably determined by Golden Leaf Books.
Final Sale Notice
All books are considered final sale unless materially not as described. Clearance or specially marked items may be designated as final sale at the time of listing.
Exchanges
Exchanges are not automatically processed. To exchange an item, please return the original item (if eligible), then place a new order for the desired item.
Abuse & Policy Protection
Golden Leaf Books reserves the right to refuse returns or future service to customers who demonstrate patterns of abuse, excessive returns, or policy exploitation, including but not limited to repeated claims inconsistent with listing accuracy or attempts to circumvent stated policies.
Dispute Resolution
All claims must be submitted directly to Golden Leaf Books prior to initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. Failure to do so may result in denial of the claim to the fullest extent permitted.
